Salam Alaykum,

If you are asking about the 'direction' which the bury the person who dies in Makkah and is buried there, then they would be buried facing the Ka'bah - so in whichever part of the city the person is buried, they would always be buried facing the Ka'bah. All other funeral rites - the ghusl, kafan, etc. are the same.

Salam Alaykum,

Simply seeing a food product with a 'halal stamp' on it does not automatically mean that the product is halal and permissible for Muslim consumption. If you are purchasing from a Muslim supermarket (Muslim owned), you can assume all of their food to be permissible for you, unless you find something out about a specific product they sell.

As for non-Muslim supermarkets - like most of the major grocery chain stores - if the halal stamp on the product has been issued by a known and recognized Muslim organization that certifies halal product and you have trust in them, then you can purhcase and consume that product. Otherwide, if you have doubts, you should ensure you do your own research into that institute and the product before you purchase.

Salam Alaykum,

Yes, a son can make up the missed prayers for his deceased father and perform his own prayers as well, giving priority to his own daily prayers, and then dividing the time between his fathers' missed prayers and his own.

Salam Alaykum,

Yes, in MOST cases, savings are khums applicable - even if one is saving money with the intention to perform the hajj, that savings must still have the Khums taken out on it.

Salaam Alaykum,

You will need to do your own calculations to determine where you will be in your flight at the average time for prayers and to determine if you need to pray or not. There are Apps for iOS and Android and also a web portal at https://www.halaltrip.com/prayertimes/inflight/ which may assist you in these regards.

Salam Alaykum,

Marriage, as it relates to two people, is something which both sides are comfortable with and is done on their own volition - there is no compelling one person to marry someone else - either by way of family and friends or by Allah. Yes, there are supplications which can be found in books such as "Selecting A Spouse: The Heavenly Path" by Abbas and Shaheen Merali which offers some prayers and supplications to assist in these regards.

If any of the daily prayers is missed, one should do their best to perform it as soon as possible with the intention of "Qadha" - that is, a prayer which is being performed after its specified time frame.

Reaching to levels of 'spirituality' and closeness to Allah can be attained by anyone living anywhere. Yes our environment plays a direct role in our awareness and closeness to Allah and so for some it may be easier to tread that path while for others, it may be more of a challenge, however one should never give up or feel that it is impossible to reach levels of ma'rifah of Allah.

The istikhara is a complex issue which must be fully and carefully understood, however in terms of your question, there is no requirement in Islam to "perform an Istikhara" for marriage. One should use their intellect and investigate about the potential spouse through the various permissible means before deciding to marry someone.
