We don't any reference from the Best Knowledgeable who are the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) and his holy Progeny (AS) about such claims. People are free to place their doors and windows as they can or wish as far as it does not harm their neighbors and other people. Vaastu claims might be influenced by certain cultural factors in certain areas. It can not be correct always and every where.

Muslim should avoid taking thoughts or ideas from non Muslims unless it is in accordance of the teachings of the Prophet (SAWA) and Ahlul Bayt (AS).

If you think that you have an object that is causing you a problem due to unwanted spirits, put the object in a different location (outside your new home) and see if it helps.

I have always assumed that part of the reason why drawings/statues of animate beings, as well as certain other items, are discouraged in hadith (Sunni and Shi'i) is due to the possibility that they can sometimes become inhabited by unwanted spirits (even if this does not usually happen) (that is to say, it is not only about idolatry, as it is usually understood today).

Hanging a horseshoe has no benefit for us. We should avoid such habits especially when we find in some books that this act was initiated by enemies of Ahlul Bayt (AS).

We should put a Quranic verse or a holy name or authentic Du'a  to protect ourselves from evil eye.

Assalamu Alaikum
Still praying in Jama'3ah i.e. in congregation is more recommended than alone.
You can acquire the closeness and concentration when you know that you are doing something which is more liked by Allah swt.
Sometimes these justifications come from Satan to make the Muminin lonely and away from the Jama'3ah.
Rasulullah s.a.w.a is quoted to have said:
أيُّها النّاسُ ، علَيكُم بالجَماعةِ ، و إيّاكُم و الفُرْقةَ
[كنز العمّال : 1028.]
O' People I advise you to be with the Jama'3ah and stay away from disunity.
Also it is narrated from him s.a.w.a that said:
يدُ اللّه ِ على الجَماعةِ ، فإذا اشْتَذَّ الشّاذُّ مِنهُم اخْتَطَفَهُ الشّيطانُ كما يَخْتَطِفُ الذِّئبُ الشّاةَ الشّاذّةَ مِن الغَنَمِ
[كنز العمّال : 1032.]
God's hand is on the congregation; Whenever a person is separated from the congregation, the devil steals him, just like a wolf separates a sheep from the flock.

So as a conclusion try not to listen to whispers of Satan and be with the groups of Mu'minin.
