The Minor Occultation (غيبة الصغری‎) (874–941 CE) in Shia Islam refers to the early years of the Imamate of Muhammad al-Mahdi, who disappeared and would only contact his followers through the Four Deputies. This occultation is also known as the First Occultation (غيبةالاولی‎).
