One lesson from the life and death of Imam Ali (as) is the importance of preparation for the final journey toward Allah SWT - There is no better time to prepare than on nights of qadr - On these nights, Allah decrees the 'definite' matters Things we can do on the nights of Qadr: - eat less - don't sleep on these nights - begin initiatives on the night of qadr - begin the night with giving sadaqa - perform ghusl before coming to mosque - pray for our Imam - sincerely repent - pray for others In this month of rahma, the Muslim world is full of atrocities - Problems in Iraq and Syria are continuing, even though the media focus has shifted to Gaza - Unity is very important in the fight against terrorism - Our duty is speak out against these atrocities
