Defending the Religion of Islam

When Imam Al-Husayn, alayhi as-salam, leaves Medina, he states: My primary objective is to seek reformation in the community of my grandfather, the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him.

It was to illuminate the hearts of people with the remembrance of Allah. It was seeking toward establishing the justice that Allah, Subhana wa Ta'ala, requires for us to strive for within our respective community.

He emphasized the importance of prayers, fasting, the most important of religious obligations. He embodied all of those most perfect and sublime qualities of his grandfather and this is precisely why we state that Imam Al-Husayn, alayhi as-salam, defends the religion of Islam, and he resurrects all of the teachings and the Sunna of Muhammad, alayhi as-salat wa as-salam.
